Most advisory firms study government from the outside. I worked from the inside, at the centre of Ontario’s government, before founding this practice.
I spent three and a half years inside the Ontario government, advising seven ministers and, most recently, the Premier as his Executive Director of Policy.
In that role, I worked across a portfolio spanning public safety, emergency management, justice, critical infrastructure, transportation, housing, and procurement: how the province protects people, and how it decides what gets built.
Before that, I advised the ministers of public safety, transportation, and labour in Canada’s largest province. As Director of Policy and Stakeholder Relations to the Solicitor General, my files included policing, bail reform, public safety technology, and next generation 9-1-1 infrastructure. At Transportation, highway and transit expansion and the capital programs that deliver them. At Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, the skilled trades pipeline and the workforce behind every major build in the province.
I started Da-Ré Advisory because that vantage point is rare. People making high-stakes government decisions, on every side of the table, deserve counsel from someone who has actually held the file.
You work with me. Engagements are not handed to a team you have never met.
Counsel starts from the public record, not from a framework.
You will hear what I actually think, including when it is not what you were hoping for.
Tell me what you’re navigating. You’ll get an honest read on whether I can help.
